Oxford scientists project “smart glasses” will help many blind and visually impaired. Its’ idea is to convert visual information into images which are understandable to them.

Often, blind people can not fully perceive the world around us because they see light spots and distinguish movement with little sharpness and quality. A bright and clear image of the world will help glasses to modify the image.
Glasses include a built-in camera, on-board gyroscope, compass, system GPS. Distance is calculated using an infrared projector. With OLED-LEDs, the screen displays collected data systems. Depending on the view, obtain the necessary level of image color, contrast and clarity. The result is glasses that choose specific part of the image, making them more clear, and the image on the backdrop.
To create invention for the blind and visually impaired people will help grant won by the Royal Society in the amount of 50,000 pounds.
